He Who Laughs, Lasts!

There is a young man from Belfast,
Whose slogan is, "He who laughs lasts!".
He's alive, and survived,
Since 2005,
Writing songs of experiences past!

I can tell you it's not just a rumour,
That he's writing 'bout cancer and tumours.
He believes he can fight,
With more agression and might,
By maintaining a good sense of humour!

He's a pirate of other ones notes,
Stripping words out that other ones quote,
And writing them new,
With a giggle or two,
The way he thinks they should be wrote!

"He who laughs, lasts!", he exclaims,
As he writes about nausea and pain.
But as long as he's writin',
'bout chemo and fightin',
He's keepin' the blood in his veins!

And the smiles on the other one's faces,
Who can say they've been in the same places,
Make a whole group of dancers,
All fightin' our cancers,
Holding on to our dignity and graces!
