CANCER CELLS
by Judy M Anderson (based on Jingle Bells)

Cancer cells, cancer cells, cancer's had its day!
Oh, how good it is to know, cancer's going away!

My sandwich it got stuck!
The doctor had to look.
I can't believe the awful luck,
This turn my health has took!

Endoscopy is done!
Adeno it is!
Node is one and mets is none,
It wasn't gastritis!

Cancer cells, cancer cells, cancer's had its day!
Oh, how good it is to know, cancer's going away!

CAT scan, PET scan, all is done!
Testing all the time!
This stuff it just is no fun!
This Beast's a "bio-crime"!

Carboplatin's in,
Taxol and a pill,
And don't forget that other thing
With the Fluorouracil!

Cancer cells, cancer cells, cancer's had its day!
Oh, how good it is to know, cancer's going away!

Radiation burn,
Nausea all the night,
But it's OK, because, I learn,
It's all part of the fight!

Pounds are coming off,
Hair is falling out,
Retch and barf and gag and cough,
But I'm not going to pout!

Cancer cells, cancer cells, cancer's had its day!
Oh, how good it is to know, cancer's going away!

Next comes surgery,
Schedule O.R. date,
An esophagectomy,
Better soon than late!

Progress happens slow,
Complications grind,
Oh, but honey, this I know,
It's worth it in the end!

Cancer cells, cancer cells, cancer's had its day!
Oh, how good it is to know, cancer's going away!
Cancer cells, cancer cells, cancer's had its day!
Oh, how good it is to know, cancer's going away!
