Note: Both the American and European spellings of esophagus and oesophagus, respectively, have been used inconsistently on this web site. This also applies to related acronyms and abbreviations (e.g. EC and OC).

Welcome to my home page!

Originally, this web site was where you might have come to read about where I was gigging or to download some of my recordings. But I haven't played any gigs in the past three and a half years as I've been busy fighting a particularly nasty cancer.

One day I might have a "Gig Guide" on here again, but in the meantime I'm going to use the web space for my current project, namely, my fight with cancer of the esophagus (EC).

What is EC?

My EC story (to date: July 2008)

Minimally Invasive Oesophagectomy surgery

Stayin' Alive CD

And in case you might be wondering who the strange person is announcing most of the pages on this website, it's the late Sir Stanley Unwin (aka Happiness Stan) founder of the language Unwinese.

This is my way of honouring a man who never failed to make me smile!

You can read about, and listen to more of Stan by clicking the following link.
